Hey, what's up, guys! Today, I want to share my experience from this past weekend when I had the unique opportunity to corner people at the Redneck Brawl fights. It was an incredible event held in Oklahoma City, and I was thrilled to be asked to corner all the guys from the Texas team.

The Venue and the Crowd

The event took place at the Pecon Center in Oklahoma City. The venue itself was amazing and very professional. Everything went according to plan, and the organizers did a fantastic job coordinating the event. The crowd was massive, probably between 4,000 to 5,000 people, which added to the electric atmosphere.

Impressions of Professionalism

I was super impressed by the professionalism of everyone involved. From the event organizers to the fighters, everyone showed up with a clear plan and executed it well. The matchmaker, in particular, did an outstanding job putting together evenly matched fights, making the competition fair but also thrilling to watch.

The Fighters and Their Stories

This event had quite the cast of characters. There were fighters with colorful names like "Macho Man," "Little Smokey," and of course, "Catfish Cooley," one of the more famous redneck personalities on social media. Catfish Cooley even fought in the main event, drawing a lot of attention and excitement.

The Skill Levels and Techniques

One interesting aspect of the Redneck Brawl fights was the diverse skill levels of the participants. Most of the fighters, both men and women, didn't have formal training. They were primarily street fighters who wanted to see how they would fare in a more structured setting. Despite their lack of experience, they brought their A-game and fought hard.

There were 29 fights in total, and only two fighters quit. That shows the grit and determination of these participants.

My Role as a Corner Man

As a corner man, my main goal was to support and guide the fighters from the Texas team. Given that many of them didn't have a lot of technical training, my advice was straightforward. I focused on helping them manage their heart rates and stay calm between rounds, which is crucial when it comes to cardio.

Basic Tips and Motivation

I kept my instructions simple:

Straighten Your Punches: Focus on delivering clean, straight punches.
Stay Calm: Breathe and lower your heart rate between rounds.
Fight Smart: Use basic strategies rather than complex techniques.

You don't want to overwhelm someone who's never trained or doesn't know a lot of techniques.

Entertainment and Fun

Overall, the event was super entertaining. If you are ever bored and need some good laughs or thrilling fights, definitely check out the Redneck Brawl. They have an Instagram page and a website, and they also post replays of the fights.
